Post by: dankoboldt on August 06, 2020, 01:13:46 PM
Hello, WIM friends! I've completed my first draft of a science fiction story I'm calling "The Watcher in the Vale" and posted it on my blog here:

Astonishingly well written. Amazing what you were able to do with so few words and how your story covered every element.

As I said in my tweet, this is a great first draft! I love how you mashed up SF and F and could lean either way or continue to keep them mixed! Looking forward to seeing how it changes through edits!

Absolutely gorgeous work, Dan. I was riveted from the opening line all the way to the end.

You moved the story along brilliantly and the end was such a satisfying arc, and yet I'm dying to know more about this man, this universe, and why that object exists in the first place.
