This one I really like! I wouldn't have thought of the flare as a baton being passed, but that's a good take on it.

I do like the superhero theme for Kerry in this prompt and how she had fire power.  Very strong and gripping.

Really well done! The ending took my breath away, the suspense, the longing, the worries for the future and what she would become. I love the superhero theme!
