AHHHH! What a cliffhanger, Kathryn! I have to gush, my favorite thing about your writing is the depth of your MC's portrayal. Fire-Power's struggles resonate so well: her strength, her courage, her hopes for her daughter's success. And at the same time, her reluctance to give up the powers she's held for so long, her fear of going back to insignificance, and that last second of regret, of wanting to hold on. I'm 100% rooting for the winner to be Flare, only for Kerry's sake. So beautifully done!
