Excellent thoughts on the importance of having critique partners and thanks for sharing your process! I enjoyed this story before, but I really really love it even better now! This is definitely my favorite draft. I loved how you fleshed things out in this version, explaining why she has to marry Galen to stay with her sister, and putting her fear of heights into play at the climax. Zia's arc is much more apparent and compelling here. Do I even have to say it? HELL YES to the full-length novel!

I loved this, especially the change halfway through from her wanting to marry Galen to stay with her sister, to that reality being ripped from her in one fell swoop. And the end! I loved the end?I?d love a glimpse at her life three years from now.
