For your first and final drafts, stick to your process and write what you must! However, for the drafts you’ll be submitting for feedback (second and third drafts), we ask that you please keep the word count to 1000 words or less.

All writers who sign up to work with an editor will be contacted by our writer liaison team via email to notify you of your assigned editor.

Yes! You can still participate as a Writer In Motion. What this means is that you’ll have two rounds of critique with your critique partners.

Yes! We encourage both published and unpublished writers to participate.

No blog required, but they sure are handy! Writers now have a choice of platform to share their Writer In Motion journey. If you don’t have a blog, head over to our forum. We’ve setup a space—Blog Project Journals—where each writer can create their own unique thread and document their journey.
